FAQS

OUTBRAKER BRAKE SPLITTER & BOOSTER

Yes, the OutBraker Booster Brake Splitter can be installed on road bikes, on all Shimano & SRAM hydraulic brakes through our Brake Hose Adapter kit which allows installation through the brake hose.

Yes, the thread pitch of these brake levers is different from the OutBraker, therefore the installation will be done through our Brake Hose Adapter kit which allows the installation to be done through the brake hose.

Additionally, if you use Hope hydraulic brakes with a braided hose, you will need to use a special olive for this.

Olivas Hope

Yes, in addition to distributing the braking, thanks to its Booster function, you will always have a firm feel at the lever, which translates into better, more precise and safer braking.

When you notice that the feel of the lever is loosening due to the wear of the brake pads, with a few simple clicks and without doing any bleeding, you will restore the firm feel.

OutBraker Brake Splitter distributes the braking 50/50, initially you may think that you would need a different graduation for the rear and the front (60%-40%), but at the moment of truth when you try it you see how the braking is so robust that it is unnecessary to be able to adjust the braking independently.

Braking is excellent and the bike doesn’t roll forward but stays firmly on the ground so a different setting isn’t needed.

Sram olives and inserts can be used with our Brake Hose Adapter kit

In this kit we supply our own olive and insert parts, so we recommend using the supplied parts.

No, when we want to change the brakes in which a different oil is used than the one we have used previously, it is not possible to use the same OutBraker unit. This is because there cannot be a mixture of mineral and synthetic oil, as it can damage the internal system.

OUTBRAKER BOOSTER

You can change the braking power to Hard / Soft with a few simple clicks and without bleeding, you will always have a firm feel at the lever, which translates into better, more precise and safer braking.

It is very useful in stage races (marathon – long distance), since you will always have the same lever travel when the brake pads wear out.

When there are strong changes in temperature, from cold to hot, the pressure due to the expansion of the oil inside the circuit changes, and we can easily adjust it.

E-bikes weigh much more and require more braking power to stop inertia, so the OutBraker Brake Power Booster is ideal in these cases.

Right after bleeding, the lever should not be fully tightened if the Booster Dial is at full (clockwise). The lever retainer can break and will not be covered by the warranty as it will be caused by misuse, or failure to perform as instructed. We recommend that the installation be done by professional bicycle mechanics.

We do not recommend increasing the pressure when the brake pads are new.

OUTBRAKER ABS

First, Test Full-Braking in Low Speed.

Click to adjust OutBraker and test Full-Braking Performance in low speed first(about 5km/h).

As long as the front wheel is not locked-up in that low speed, It will not be locked-up in higher speed too. Cause the max oil pressure to the caliper is same but the inertia is stronger than the low speed so it is totally safe.

The OutBraker ABS has 24 clicks of adjustment, turning the dial clockwise gives a shorter stopping distance and increased braking force.

The OutBraker ABS MTB lever type can be installed directly on the lever on Shimano / Tektro / SRAM hydraulic brakes. And in other brands through our Brake Hose Adapter kit which allows installation through the brake hose.

OutBraker ABS Road can be installed on Shimano / Campagnolo / SRAM hydraulic brakes (Red AXS / Force AXS)
